Activities for young Feasties 2017!
For young visitors to the festival we have a wide range of food-related activities, cookery sessions, art drop-ins, a farmyard of real, live animals and lots more...
We have a whole host of really lovely activities again for our young visitors to the Feast this year. Most are included in your £2 children's wristband.
Our children's cookery academy will be in St Mary's Church Hall this year- a warmer, indoor venue, opposite Vicarage Gardens car park.
This year, father of two Eddie Parry, who trained at Coleg Llandrillo College, and is Head Chef with Outside Food Group, will be in the hot seat.
He will be running the sessions alongside his trusty sidekick Donna German, another Coleg Llandrillo graduate, and chef at Outside Food Group.
To Start: Falafels, cucumber raita, hummus
To Follow: Vegetable tagine, aromatic cous cous, mint yoghurt and flatbread
These sessions are included in your child's wristband. Book on the day.
Times: 10.30 - 11.30 12.30 – 1.30 2.30 – 3.30
We ask that you stay with your child while they take part
Wannabe digital artists can join a free children’s workshop inside St Mary's Church itself, to create a stained glass window as part of digital artist Andy McKeowns’s installation for this medieval building.
These will be projected immediately onto the church! Workshops: Saturday and Sunday from 2-4pm
Children must be accompanied at all workshops.
Outside St Mary's Church Hall you will find our apple making workshops. Now a family favourite this is a hive of creativity. Who knew there were so many variations on the apple? Community artist Alys Hughes will be running the sessions from 10am - 4pm on both days.
For older children of 12+ we have a range of bookable art workshops in the Tabernacl. Click here for info.
