Green Feast: Farming and growing
Our celebration of where our food comes from includes new farming and growing sections in Bodlondeb Park this year.
Farming and Gardening
Alongside our farmyard of animals - yes, that’s a real, live horse you’re looking at - this year we’ll be focusing on the smaller plots of land we’re all familiar with.
You can also make a seed bomb to take home and spread the wildflowery love, and there will be free fruit bushes and trees courtesy of the Wellhealth Gift Economy to plant in your garden.
HQ for this green-fingered area will be a yurt made out of bamboo grown in Bangor Forest Garden. Yes, that’s bamboo from Bangor, North Wales!
Our own Incredible Edible Conwy team, who have filled the town’s gardens with edible plants that everyone can enjoy, will also be in residence.
Look out too for a new animal on the block.
The Wildlife Trusts in Wales will be bringing Hanc the (stuffed) beaver to the festival.
Hanc is the poster beaver for an innovative project to reintroduce the animals into Welsh rivers. Find out more in our Farming and Growing area…
